About me

My name is Mirjam Dekker. I am the founder of this platform and the person behind Luminessenz.

One thing everyone knows about me - whether we met 20 minutes or 20 years ago - is the fact that I love to travel! In fact, my whole life  pretty much revolves around traveling .... because there´s simply nothing I enjoy more. From an early age I´ve felt the urge to explore the world and experience all kinds of exotic adventures on this beautiful planet. I´ve had the opportunity to visit more than 75 countries, on 6 different continents. And I am far from finished! Also, I´ve lived and worked abroad for several years: in Canada, New Zealand and Spain to be exact.

I´ve also always had a strong desire for freedom. And I do not believe in continuing to dream, but in actually doing!  If I really wanted to achieve what I had in mind and get the best out of (my) life, I had to start with myself, I soon discovered .... Which led to yet another great journey, the one of  self-development. 
Long story short: I had to overcome quite a few challenges on my path to get to where I wanted to be. And all of this has taught me an awful lot .... Not only about how we humans work, but also about how life itself works. These are things that are not being taught in school, but that every one of us should know!

I now pass on this valuable collection of knowledge, life wisdom and tools to you - so that a free, happy and light life is within reach for you too! Purpose - in the broadest possible sense of the word - plays a key role. What you'll notice is that I look at things from a holistic perspective: the bigger picture. This is something that is very obvious to me but very valuable to others, as I´ve learned from my clients. I not only call on all my knowledge and experience, but also on my intuitive abilities and ´laser vision´. Because that´s what truly makes it next-level .... So don't expect an ordinary upgrade, but a truly magical uplift!

A few other things about me you might like to know: I was originally trained as a psychologist, at the VU in Amsterdam (diploma: 1999). However, in the years that followed I also completed several other interesting trainings and courses, including life and career coaching, NLP and systemic work (constellations).
What mainly characterizes me is my enthusiasm! As well, I have both feet firmly on the ground and I like to keep things practical. Oh yeah, and if you haven't noticed yet: I am quite 'self-willed' :-) .... and I will always encourage you to go your own way too!
